To post an answer, tip or question on Tax Focus, you need to create a registered login. When you login with Tax Focus, you will need to type your name and email address.

When you visit Tax Focus, we automatically collect your IP address, browser type, timestamp information, the pages you viewed and the searches you make. This information will never include any information that will personally link you to the information.

A user submission is anything a user submits to Tax Focus. A user submission includes a tip, question or answer from a member of our user council. A council member submission may be shown publicly, but will never include personal information unless the council member intended to do so.

Like most online websites today, we utilize cookies. Cookies are numeric identifiers in the form of text files that are stored by your web browser on your hard drive. This data includes information like site preferences and login information. The council member can disable cookies, but that may limit his or her use of Tax Focus.

When a council member provides us with information, we take strong measures to protect this information. Because of this, we will never lease, rent, sell or trade your information to a third party.

We may display third party links on Tax Focus. These third party websites are not obligated to follow our privacy policy because they follow one of their own. If you redirect from Tax Focus, we are no longer responsible for the protection of your privacy.

We have done our part in complying with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. Under this act, we will never collect information from users under the age of 13. Tax Focus is marketed to those over the age of 13.
